Sprout Social alternative

One price for the business. Posts written in its voice.

People look for a Sprout Social alternative when the price per seat outgrows the team, when a yearly contract renews before they can cancel, or when they need X threads and polls it doesn't post.

Buzzmark is $29 a month for the business, not per person. It writes each post in the voice it reads from your website, scores every draft from 0 to 100 and posts threads and polls to X.

If several people answer messages and reviews, or you need approvals, listening and a CRM link, Sprout Social is the better tool.

Why people look for a Sprout Social alternative

From Sprout Social's own pages and from public reviews, put in our words and read on November 5, 2026. Each reason links to where we saw it.

  1. A price per seat that keeps rising

Every Sprout plan is priced per person. Standard was $89 a seat a month paid yearly in June 2022, and is $199 today. On G2, where Sprout scores 4.4 from about 7,500 reviews, Expensive and High pricing are among the most common review tags.

  2. Yearly contracts that are hard to leave

Cancelling, contracts and renewals come up more than anything else in Sprout's Trustpilot reviews. That page scores 1.8 from 89 reviews, though some are about other products. Capterra reviewers raise the same point.

  3. Gaps in what it posts

Sprout's own help center lists X threads, X polls and Instagram polls as not supported. On G2, Missing features is one of the most common review tags.

  4. The inbox starts above the first plan

Essentials, at $79 a seat, has no inbox and no approvals. The inbox starts on Standard at $199 a seat, approvals on Professional at $299.

What to look for in a replacement

Whatever you move to, check these before you leave Sprout Social. They follow from the reasons above.

  • A price for the whole team

Count everyone who'll touch social, then price all of them, not one seat.

  • A contract you can leave

Know when it renews and how to cancel before you sign for a year.

  • Every post type you use

Check threads, polls and stories on the networks you post to most.

  • Writing that sounds like you

Ask what the AI reads first, and whether a brand with few posts still gets its voice.

Where Buzzmark fits

  • One price for the business

Growth is $29 a month for one brand on 5 channels. Reach runs 3 brands for $49, and Scale 10 for $99.

  • By the month, or by the year

Every plan is sold monthly or yearly. 7 days free for new users, with $0 due today, and nothing charged before day 8.

  • X with threads and polls

Threads, polls, auto-repost and auto-plug on X, next to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads and TikTok.

  • Every draft is checked

Each Buzz gets a Hive check, a score from 0 to 100 for how much it sounds like you, and phrasing that gives machine-written text away is rewritten before you see it.

Where it doesn't, yet

  • Seats and approvals. They're coming soon: 5 seats on Reach and unlimited on Scale. Today an account is one person.
  • Direct messages and reviews. The inbox has comments from Instagram, Facebook, Threads and LinkedIn.
  • Social listening. Scout reads competitors and the news in your field for post ideas, but doesn't track mentions of your brand.
  • YouTube, Pinterest, Snapchat and Bluesky. Buzzmark doesn't post there yet; Google Business and Reddit are coming soon.

Your first day

  1. Paste your website

The Hive reads it and brings back your tone, the words you use and your products. You correct anything it read wrong.

  2. Connect your accounts

Sign in to each one. A social set keeps a brand's accounts, voice and clock together.

  3. Plan the first week

Buzz drafts the week into your best times. Nothing goes out until you schedule it.

  4. Note your renewal date

On a yearly Sprout plan, check when it renews and cancel before then. Buzzmark can run next to it until it ends.

When to stay with Sprout Social

The same list as on our comparison. If one of these is you, Sprout Social is the better tool for now.

  • Several people answer customer messages and reviews every day.
  • Posts need approvals and an audit trail before they go out.
  • You need listening, competitor benchmarks or a CRM link.
  • The company can pay $79 to $399 per seat a month.
